Two bars have claimed the Juicy Lucy, but who’s right?

The decades-old question of who can claim themselves as home of the Juicy Lucy, a classic Minnesota burger, remains. This topic has been much debated by Minnesotans all over the city and is yet to be decided upon due to the locals’ differing opinions.

The two restaurants that lay claim to the title of “home to the Juicy Lucy” are Matt’s Bar and the 5-8 Club, which are both conveniently located only miles apart on the south side of Minneapolis.
