Business trip touring China, Bible group exploring Greece and Turkey

Some students are journeying to Greece and Turkey with the Bible department while others will go on a business trip to China. The aim of the trip to Greece and Turkey is to follow Paul’s missionary journey, visiting many famous places in the Bible including Ephesus, Athens and Corinth.

Band concert features ‘eclectic set’

Northwestern’s symphonic band is preparing for its March 4 spring concert. Each song is significantly different than the next one, making for what band director Professor John Herlihy calls a “diverse and eclectic set of songs.”

Departments combine to create Office(s) of Student Life

Steps to combine Campus Ministries and Student Development began last fall. The new department will still have two separate offices, but both will hold the title “Office of Student Life” and cover the same aspects of student life.

President Cureton appointed vice chair of NCAA DIII Presidents Council

Cureton’s new position means he will represent the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) and UNW as chair of the Presidents Council in 2015.

Public Safety addresses expired crime log

During the 2013 fall semester, theft was the most commonly reported incident on Public Safety's Daily Crime Log; other incidents included medical emergencies, vehicle accidents and fire (photo illustration by Sammi Manning).

As of Monday, Jan. 13, the Daily Crime Log found on the theRock had not been updated since Aug. 24, 2013. According to the Handbook for Safety, however, Public Safety was not in violation of any requirements of crime log updates.
