St. Paul is home to a wide variety of cuisines – notably Thai food. When prepared correctly, many people consider Thai food to be the most delicious food in the world. It’s light, healthy, delicately fragrant and full of vegetables. Many of the dishes are prepared with chilies, but that does not necessarily mean all the dishes are fiery hot. Restaurants all over the world prepare Thai dishes with their own variations, so eat around and find the ones that best suit your taste. The following list is a compilation of my favorite Thai food restaurants in St. Paul.

  1. On’s Thai Kitchen – On’s consistently earns the title of the best Thai food restaurant in the Twin Cities because of its authentic feel and cuisine. Take-out or delivery is the way to go here because it is always busy and parking is hard to find in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. With the food being reasonably priced, having good portion sizes and being a mix between authentic dishes and westernized dishes, everyone will be able to find a dish they are satisfied with. The menu items that are most recommended are the eggrolls as an appetizer, the Pad See Ew as an entrée and the mango sticky rice for dessert. The Tom Ka dish is also a fan favorite here thanks to the complex flavors and ability to choose your preferred spice level. Known as a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, On’s Thai Kitchen serves the best and most authentic Thai food in the Twin Cities and should be on everyone’s restaurant bucket list.
  2. Supatra’s Thai Cuisine – Supatra’s is located on West Seventh in St. Paul. Despite having a small dining room, the food portions are huge which means a person could get two meals out of each entrée. Visit during lunchtime to take advantage of the lunch-combo deals. Supatra’s is a great place for people with dietary restrictions like gluten free and dairy free. Two of the most highly rated items are the Pad Thai and the Spring Rolls. Most dishes have a spice scale for customers to choose the level of spice in their dishes. The service is friendly and prompt, and the servers are very knowledgeable of the menu. Whether you order take-out or dine on the patio, Supatra’s is a neighborhood favorite.
  3. Bangkok Thai Deli – Bangkok’s is highly recommended for those looking for a quick, deli-style meal in the St. Paul area. Bangkok’s is known for their exceptional Spring Rolls and Khao Soi. This restaurant is perfect for a lunch gathering of friends as it is located near the Metro Green Line.

The Thai food in the Billy is always the most popular line for students. Be adventurous and try one of these authentic Thai food restaurants located in St. Paul.
